The Civic Players
The Civic Players have existed for nearly 60 years and over these years they have entertained Wellington audiences with a variety of plays with a wide range of genre's including serious, farce, comedy and coarse acting.
These days the productions take place at the Wellington Arts Centre, but in times gone past, the group have successfully filled the Wellesley Theatre. The group manage to present a high standard production within the constraints of a small stage and small budget! They always ensure that over 50% of their profits are presented to the Wellington Arts Association.
The Civic Players are always looking for new members to perform on stage and help with all aspects of putting on a show. With more practical help and support the group would like to be in a position to stage more than one performance in a year.
