Kevin Stratton - Best Man

Kev was ideally qualified to be the Best Man - as well as being Matt's best mate, he is also one of Caz's oldest friends, having played "Policeman & Police Dog" together at primary school at the age of 7!

Kev and Matt met when they were both part of the stage crew for the production of "Rosie's Path" at Richard Huish College - unfortunately for Kev this first encounter was to report that he had just broken Matt's ratchet!

Despite this, and a failed attempt by Kev to hold scenery together by hammering in screws, Matt still dragged him down to Wellington Arts Centre to help out back stage.  Not long after, Matt got Kev a job working with him at the Wellesley Cinema, where they both still work today, and so began a beautiful friendship (and many late nights drinking at the Ship Inn across the road from the cinema)!

Kev is now Manager of the Wellesley, and also runs his own lighting and sound company.  Kev was also once a DJ on local radio station BCRFM - so if nothing else, we can expect his speech to be pretty good (no pressure Kev!).

Kev is a big fan of Bristol City FC and the rock music of the 70's and 80's, so he spends much of his time (and money) at Ashton Gate or travelling to various concerts around the country.  When Kev isn't watching football or aged rockers, he has found time to rekindle his interest in running and recently ran the London 10K - raising over £300 for Cancer Research.  So watch out for him at the reception - he'll probably have another sponsorship form in his hand!

Sharon Bugler - Matron of Honour

Sharon and Caz became best friends at the age of 11 and were pretty much inseparable throughout secondary school.  In fact Sharon was pretty much considered to be a part of the Samuel family!

Sharon and Caz did everything together -  shopping, going on holiday, appearing in shows at the Arts Centre, and forming local band "Illusion" when they were 14 - a sadly short lived pop career!

Sharon's friendship with Caz proved to be good preparation for her career as a Mental Health Nurse.

Although Sharon now lives in Market Harborough, she and Caz still manage to do a lot together, visiting health spas, meeting up for shopping trips and weekends away.  When they aren't driving across the country to see each other, they are on the phone for hours at a time - much to the irritation of their phone bill paying partners!

Also, they have even planned their weddings together - both in 2008 and both to blokes named Matt!
