Time and Dates: Thursday 9th July to Friday 10th July 2009 at 7:30pm
If you like plays about backwards pantomimes, mixed up fairytales and Ham Sandwiches, then the Arts Centre is the place to be.

The young people of Genesis Youth Theatre Group are in final rehearsals for their end of year show ‘Genesis by Genesis’. Totally devised by Genesis – hence the name, Genesis by Genesis, is a show which takes off modern situations and puts them into fairytales. Directed by Crispin Buttle and Jan Venables, who wrote the plays for the group, the show features three separate individual plays. First is Chavella – a modern take on the good old favourite Cinderella, secondly Goldilocks and the Three Bears - which follows the lives of Goldilocks, a secret undercover spy and Jay, Dame Betti’s son, who has come back from China to save the village from being taken over by the three evil pandas; and last but not least, Ham Sandwich – which is basically a play all about the different uses of a ham sandwiches (if that’s even possible!)
It acts as the final show for the year before the group breaks up for summer before starting back in September for another jam packed fun year.
Catch these rising stars of the Wellington Arts Association. The show runs at the Wellington Arts Centre, Eight Acre Lane on the 9th and 10th of July, starting 7.30pm each night.
Tickets are priced £3 per ticket and can be bought from the Arts Centre or at the door, but act fast as these tickets are sure not to be around for long.
